Welcome

Here you will find information about the Legendary Disc Jockey Jim Connors, from the golden age of radio, and information about his son with the same name who in his own right has embarked on a successful career in Television.

Please browse the site, and get used to our new look as we merge JimConnors.org with JimConnors.net, making us your one stop for all things "JC"!

A message from Jim Connors:

I began archiving materials about my father’s life 15years ago. Since launching JimConnors.org not only has technology moved ahead ten-fold, but so has our shared knowledge of my Dad's career and personal life. So many people have stepped forward to share stories and help build his legacy. From the sharing of old memorabilia with my family, to the occasional email from old friends and fans exchanging newly acquired materials electronically. I cannot thank everyone enough.

My biggest thanks go out to Brian Connors, my Uncle and Godfather. Without his help, and sharing of knowledge and information, many facts about “JC” would have gone unmentioned. With the new design of JimConnors online, and the future convergence of JimConnors.org with this new service, I will begin to incorporate my own branches of communication within this site.

It has been a long road from sitting in studio with Dad at the ripe age of 4, and learning to cut tape, to now having a great career in Television Programming, and pushing the boundaries of New Media on a daily basis.

I've had the pleasure of working hard for a local, and now State wide, PBS affiliate and have been building a solid career in the Broadcast Programming & Operations field. I take great pride in researching and critiquing independent films and documentaries, making broadcast recommendations, and working closely with producers on the development of new content and initiatives.

I've worked closely with independent producers from Malaysia to Massachusetts, Australia to Alabama, and many points in between. Most of my critical review has been confidential to this point, but shortly we will expand reviews and critiques to this website. All that being said, if you're an independent film or documentary producer please feel free to contact me at your leisure. I always enjoy experiencing the talents and skills possessed by many of todays up and coming producers through their visual art.

Recently I’ve been afforded the chance to work closely with my Cousin Mike Marinaccio on the re-development of PoorHouse skateboards. PoorHouse has been in existence since 1989, and I’m glad to creatively contribute to the re-establishment of this long standing brand. For more information please click the PoorHouse tab to the left.

In Closing, as the Irish say; Patience is a virtue that causes no shame. With that I patiently await the day when more information about Dad can become available, and a time when I can offer the talents he bestowed to me, onto a wider audience. Thanks for stopping by.

All the best,

JC
